1 Terms and conditions:
1.2 If you continue to browse and use this website you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by
the following terms and conditions of use,which together with our privacy policy govern Pikitu Marae
relationship with you in relation to this website.
1.3 The Terms and Conditions of Pikitu Marae website may be added to, changed, or deleted at any
time Pikitu Marae Trustees consider it appropriate. Please return to this document on a regular basis,
to keep yourself informed of these changes.
2 Terms used in this website:
2.1 Iwi means Raukawa.
2.2 Hapu means Ngati Huri.
2.3 Member means persons who affiliate to Ngati Huri through descent from a primary ancestor of
Ngati Huri and affiliate to Pikitu Marae, or persons who are Whāngai.
2.4 Ngati Huri means the Hapu comprising every person who is descended from a primary ancestor
of Ngati Huri.
2.5 Tikanga means the customary values and practices of Ngati Huri.
2.6 Whāngai means those persons who do not affiliate to Ngati Huri by descent from a primary ancestor
of Ngati Huri but who are adopted by a Member of Ngati Huri pursuant to statute or in accordance with
the Tikanga of Ngati Huri.
2.7 Adult means any person 18 years or older.
2.8 PMT means Pikitu Marae Trust.
2.9 NHWTT means Ngati Huri Whenua Topu Trust.

4 Registration to this website:
4.1 Any adult person who affiliates to Ngati Huri through descent from a primary ancestor of Ngati Huri and
affiliates to Pikitu Marae, or persons who are whangai, or their descendants on their behalf by their
parent or legal guardian, may make an application to become a Member of Pikitu Marae website, by
filling in the online form and submitting it to the Registration Committee.
4.2 The Registration Committee may require any person seeking registration to provide evidence verifying
his or her affiliation to Ngati Huri through descent from a primary ancestor of Ngati Huri and any other
matter referred to in clause 4.1.
4.3 The Registration Committee may consult with the Kaumatua/Kuia ropu, PMT trustees, and any other
appropriate person(s) in relation to any application for Registration.
4.3.1 to determine who is the primary ancestor, or are primary ancestors, of Ngati Huri
4.3.2 to determine the Tikanga of Ngati Huri by which whangai are to affiliate to Ngati Huri
5 The Registration Committee:
5.1 May decline to register, or remove a person from the Register if the Registration Committee consider
that any information about a person received under clause 4.1 or clause 4.2 is not accurate or complete,
or that the existing information on the Register is not accurate or complete such that in either case the
person concerned does not meet the qualifications required by Pikitu Marae website for entry of that
person in the Register
5.2 The Registration Committee may decline to register, or remove that person from the register, as the
case may be.
5.3 Where an application for registration is declined, or any decision is made by the the Registration
Committee to remove any person from the register, the person concerned may dispute the decision of
the Registration Committee.
6 Panui:
6.1 The Panui section on this website is to inform the whanau/hapu of Pikitu Marae about any thing the
Trusts' consider appropriate for your knowledge. Please check this section of the site regularly. This
section is only for Pikitu Marae Trust, and Ngati Huri Whenua Topu Trust to place panui for the whanau
& hapu. There are other areas of this website for whanau/ hapu to add their own panui.
7 Calendar:
7.1 The calendar will show any current and proposed future Marae Bookings, and events that will be held at
Pikitu Marae.
8 Financial Contributions:
8.1 PMT and NHWTT have provided this page to allow whanau and friends of the Marae and Whenua Topu
Trusts to make financial contributions to either or both of our Trust's.
9 Marae Bookings:
9.1 Initial contact is provided on the website. Further contact will be through whatever media is most
appropriate for the Marae and the person(s) involved.

10.1 Please read the Blog Rules for this section, as they are a part of the Terms and Conditions of Pikitu Marae
